The new FGTS system is scheduled to start on the 1st of March, 2024, which will become FGTS Digital.

FGTS Digital is a new form of integrated management of the entire FGTS collection process, whose main objective is to improve collection and provide information to employees and employers in relation to FGTS resources.

With this implementation process to pay the FGTS – Severance Indemnity Fund Contribution (FGTS) by the employer must be made in the Pix – Collection mode.

This new system aims to ensure that the amounts owed to employees are effectively deposited in their accounts, in addition to allowing companies to issue quick and personalised guides, consult statements, request compensation, refunds, and more.

The generated ticket for payment will have a QR Code for scanning and payment can be made directly through the application or website of the employer’s financial institution.

With this change in payment method, it is recommended that the company already check with the bank that works with its limitations of volumes/values for this type of payment, so avoiding setbacks when paying the first instalment. The law in its entirety and more details can be consulted at: FGTS Digital — Ministério do Trabalho e Emprego (www.gov.br).
