After an extensive period of research and consultation, in accordance with the Labour Code, Guatemala has announced a minimum wage increase for 2023.
Workers in the Guatemala City Department, corresponding to economic circumscription 1, will receive a 7% increase. Businesses within circumscription 2 will receive a 4% increase.
Both circumscriptions are to also receive a monthly bonus of Q250.00, as per the below.
These increases are effective as of 1 January 2023.
